There’ve been a few ventures made by auto-makers to convert part of the vehicle into an RV, and even into a boat. Sometimes it’s a trailer, sometimes it’s the rear part of the vehicle, sometimes its the roof. Combining vehicles may be more than just a pipe dream.
There was at least oneĀ 52-54 ford, and the top came off and turned upside down its a boat. pretty neat. These were advertised in Mechanics Illustrated in the 1950’s.
Decades ago, there was one called a “Ranger” that used on late-50’s Ford T/lights. There might be a fellow in the Midwest repoppin them now or at least services parts for them.
There used to be one that showed up at the rod trots in the PNW that had fenders like a 52/54 Ford car. It looked pretty decent and interesting at the time.
And, according to a lady named “Hotrodladycrusr,” talking about the aqua green one in the photos, “GG DesMoines event this past 4th of July weekend. Malcolm’s Dad knows the owner real well, we stopped and talked to him for abit. I think the whole setup was for sale but I can’t remember what he was asking”
There’s also an ad by a guy who does these (not sure if he still does).
