There are only 2 of these trailers left!
This one is a 1961 Holiday House Geographic travel trailer Model X, restored in vintage style down to the vintage radio! Have you ever seen a travel trailer like this one before? Even if you were around in the 60s when they were first produced, you might not have seen one. They were definitely luxury RVs with their pricetag of $8500 dollars (in the late 50s early 60s that was a LOT!) Not many of them were made even then. I guess there wasn’t a market for a slick art deco modern travel trailer, and it makes you wonder how they’d do nowadays.
One year after this restored vintage travel trailer was made, the Holiday House Geographic factory burned down. They’d made just 7 of the Model Xs.
This particular 61 Model X was restored from the frame up by some experts in vintage camper restoration out of Oregon State called “Flyte Camp” (we’ve now added them to our directory).
Although this trailer does look vintage inside and out, it looks a bit modern inside too. That’s because Flyte Camp made sure the luxury RV has modern conveniences to make RVing more enjoyable, such as LED strips on the floor and cabinets, hardwood floors, and walnut cabinets, a three-way fridge, new 2-burner stove, a TV, surround sound, stereo, 200-watt inverter with Trojan batteries (solar capacity), and power outlets throughout the trailer.
