This giant motorhome has slide-outs and more slide-outs, to the point where it can basically be thought of as a RVing legend. The base of this luxury… and massive motorhome is a MAN truck – more about them later.
Did you notice that unlike most motorhomes – even luxury size RVs – this coach has a slide-up, not just slide-outs. Using hydraulics, the motor coach body expands upwards until there are two floors, and then slides or folds outward also, so it’s almost twice as wide in some parts. And check out all the glazing – the views you’d have from the motorhome rest area, trailer park, or even out in the wild or at the lake with this thing.
MAN is a company that exports its trucks everywhere in the world. They build these machines on an island to the south of England, called the Isle of Man. This particular unit, later made into a custom motorhome, was built in 2010.
It speaks well for the owners, too, because MAN vehicles are frequently chosen for huge offroad events like the Dakkar. Why? Good quality, and that includes a specially well-respected strong chassis. The company also does certification for the Dakkar-type offroad events.

There’s a company called SLR that make 4×4 Commandos out of MAN trucks: “The secret behind a genuine Expedition Vehicle’s body design is the chassis suspension mounting.
