Outside the U.S. and Canada, the Ford F-Series (particularly the special editions) enjoy a following in Europe, Australia and China, where they are often added to car enthusiasts’ collections. The pickup is also sold in certain parts of Central and South America, Africa, and several territories and island chains around the world.
Though the Ford F-Series has been reimagined and retooled throughout its generations, it still remains one of the most popular pickup trucks, able to perform a wide variety of jobs due to its rugged durability, while still retaining its image as a powerful, sleek pickup.
This one came up on Hemmings a while ago out of Houston.
“The fifth generation F-series pickup was built on the same platform as the 1965 revision of the fourth generation. Dimensions and greenhouse glass were increased engine options expanded and plusher trim levels became available during the fifth generations production run. This F-250 is ready to hit the road or the hills. Shown in its original gold color on the body that is in good condition & free from any major dents or dings. The interior is in good condition as well with only the bench seat having a couple tears in it. The truck did have a seat cover but we wanted to show the buyers what was underneath. The truck is powered by a 390 CiD V8 that is paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission. The truck runs strong and is ready to go! If you want to command the road and haul anything this truck fits the bill. This would be a great farm truck that will work long as you can through the day. The square body Fords have continued to see rising popularity in the collector market. Load up this truck with work duties tailgate equipment or the family and head out to get the job done or for fun. Increased cabin dimensions gas tank relocated outside the cab and under the bed significantly improved heating and air conditioning full double wall bed construction and increased use of galvanized steel.”
