This Stretched Classic Tractor is Basically a Custom Luxury RV

When it comes to sleepers, big brands like ARI Legacy Sleepers and Custom Studio Sleepers and others we’ve featured here do great jobs, but then you also see things like this: Classic cabovers and other tractors with huge sleepers that just look so great because the whole thing has been customized. I mean, check out the paint on this COE – at this size and with that degree of finishing, it’s basically a custom luxury RV!

The basis for this unit is K100 Kenworth, stretched and with an extended sleeper cab. The pic comes from Ross Burnham’s extensive collection of truck photos. For this particular one, he didn’t give much detail except to say it was taken in 1992 in Vegas. If anyone else has more shots of this beaut, make sure to send them to our page!

You can still get these K100s, and sometimes the price is down around 10K – even below 5K occasionally when they’re not in the greatest shape. Most of the newer ones, though, from the 2000s, are listed for around 20 – 50K. They don’t make K100s anymore, apparently. The only similar model is being manufactured in Australia, and it’s the K108 – a shorter B-Double tractor.

What do you think of the photo though? Is this not an amazing tractor. How many conversations would start just from parking this thing somewhere, like in a campsite and camping out in the craziest custom semi / luxury RV style?
